Description
An amazingly rare pattern and maker, this circa 1833-36 Archery pattern embossed footed compote is a treasure, made by Herculaneum Pottery Company, see page 471 in the Petra Williams book. Its fabulous pattern features two elegantly dressed ladies taking aim, set amidst lovely English gardens with palatial estate in the distance. Loads of full bloom flowers comprise the detailed borderwork also. Measuring 11+1/4" long and 5+1/2" tall and in excellent condition minus the one teensy nick under rim on one side and a barely there feather short line under base, see pictures of both insignificant items -- mentioned for full disclosure only. Please see my other listings for transferware this week, all estate fresh and beautiful. NJ residents must add 7% sales tax unless exempt. Winner, please pay within 7 days of auction's close.
