It has a crystalline sage green glaze with almost copper colored inclusions. We think that the lamp is American. The lamp is not marked, but it always looked like Fulper to us. On the underside of the lamp base it is marked with what appears to be "1900". However, we don't think that the numbers necessarily refer to a date. Actually, we would think that the lamp was produced slightly later perhaps c. 1910-15.         The lamp is in overall good original condition. It is in working order. The socket appears to be original with the cord a replacement (please note: when purchasing old lamps, always replace the wiring. It is a simple job; ensures safety and does not affect the value of the lamp). The glaze has the ubiquitous crazing one expects, indeed, even looks for, in a piece from this era. The only flaw that we see is a single glaze flake at the very top of the lamp immediately beneath the socket. Difficult to see with the naked eye, it was caused by the set screw at the socket base continually rubbing in the same spot over 80 - 100 years.. It does not interfere with the display of the item. The base is a simple wood disc which was originally glued to the pottery. It needs to be reglued. Other than that, we see no cracks, chips or repairs. This is a nice old lamp.
