About Christian Benjamin Olsen (1873- 1935) Olsen’s seascapes are known for their great details and naturalistic style. Olsen also worked as a porcelain artist at Bing & Grondal where he did several ship portraits on large vases. Olsen traveled with the Danish navy a great deal and thus had the opportunity to portray many foreign seascapes and ships.
