This is one of the most sought after and beautiful designs in the Roseville line. The pattern contains heavily embossed lavender Wisteria blossoms hanging from green vines and a large mass of green leaves. A brown textured background blends into a darker green at the base. A satin matte glaze was used in this line. Most of these pedestals were unmarked and when marked a paper label was used. The pedestal stands approx. 16 1/2"h. and the bottom diameter is 10". The top of the pedestal where a jardiniere would sit measures 6" across to the outer rim . The pedestal is in excellent original condition with the exception of a chip on the under rim on the bottom of the pedestal measuring approx. 3/4" ( see photo). This is a very easy and inexpensive restoration if one wishes to do so. For those collectors looking for the pedestal to fit the jardiniere that you own, this is the one for you. I have checked out Kovel's price guide in 2001 and it prices a "brown" Wisteria jardiniere and pedestal, 24 1/2"  exactly like this one for over $3500.00. That's how good this Wisteria pattern is.
