A very beautiful Art Deco design. Printed in black, and enamelled in orange, orange edge and handle and launched in 1929. It consists of a large teapot and display stand, water jug, two large serving plates, three serving trays, 12 side plates, 12 cups, 12 saucers, sugar bowl and cream jug (46 pieces). All pieces are marked on the underside of the bases "Shelley England" and with the no. 11678. The teapot, water jug, cups, saucers and side plates and a few other pieces also are marked Rd.723404. This is a exceptionally rare opportunity for one lucky bidder to obtain the ultimate Shelley Tall Trees complete tea set. Dimensions : The teapot measures 277mm long by 135mm high. Teapot stand is 160mm long by 140mm wide. Water jug 185mm high, and 165mm wide. Serving tray with three shell form servers is 245mm wide. The two rectangular serving trays are 330mm long by 12mm wide. Large serving plates are 245mm wide, side plates are 180mm wide. Saucers are 145mm diameter and the cups are 70mm high and 100mm wide to include handles. Condition : All the pieces are in excellent condition - no chips, hairlines, cracks, crazing, staining, wear, restoration or other damage. They all 'ring' to the lightest fingernail touch.
