1700s MEISSEN Hard Paste Porcelain Vase AUGUSTUS REX Look at this ! Don't miss it! Here is an exceptional piece. It is a vase made out of the finest hard paste porcelain by the famous factory of Meissen in GermanyThe decoration consists of four panels, divided by exceptional hand gilt borders. Two of the opposite scenes depict romantic sketches with couples in full period attire, while the other two depict lush floral compositions on an Imperial yellow backgroundEVERYTHING ON THIS VASE IS METICULOUSLY HAND PAINTED, NO TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND AT ALL!!!It is marked underglaze on the bottom with the famous monogram AR, which is hand drawn, but unfortunately is a little hard to read - however, it is AR for sureMeasurements: Approx. 7.5" high; 5.75" diameter Condition: Excellent + overall, No defects at all, slight wear on the gilt on the top portion, consistent with the age.
