The plates are done in the Fiesole pattern. Each plate is beautifully decorated with a scene of the Italian countryside surrounded by gilt decoration. There are three different types of scenes at the centers. One scene appears on 5 plates, the second scene on 4 plates, and the third scene on 3 plates. The scenes are surrounded by gilt garlands of leaves. Fiesole pattern comes in two variations - one with a scalloped edge and one with a smooth edge. This is the variation with the smooth edge which is the more common of the two variations. The plates are marked on the underside with Richard Ginori Italy. The plates are in great overall condition. Four of the plates have wear to the gilt decoration around the inner edge, and two of the plates have light wear. The worst of the wear to the gilding is shown in the last photo. However there are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no breaks, and no repairs. The plates measure 7 3/4 inches in diameter.
